Hi, I’m Melissa,

I’m a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Yoga Teacher, Retreat Organizer, and Community Builder.

I believe that highly sensitive people and introverts have unique strengths that help create a more just and equitable world. But years feeling different and conforming to outside expectations often leave us struggling to navigate a world that doesn’t always value our traits.

That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to the support of sensitive people and introverts. I’ve led over 20 retreats in 6 different countries, with over 200 travelers. Our retreats are a refuge where you can embrace who you are, connect to community, and leverage your strengths to positively impact the world.

If you’re curious about joining us on one of our retreats, book a free phone chat with me at the bottom of the page to get your questions answered.

Sensitivity is a strength. Let’s use it together.

Melissa Renzi,

Our Specially-Designed Process

Downtime
We ensure our schedules give you alone time to rest, explore on your own, and absorb your surroundings so that you can enjoy your retreat experience without exhaustion.

Connection
We facilitate reflection circles as a space to process experiences, learn from others, uncover your strengths, and deepen connections. We also design our retreats to include group activities that become meaningful shared memories.
Agreements
We set agreements so that you can express how you want to be supported through the retreat. One staple agreement is that you have permission to participate in your way without social pressure.

Embodied Practice
We offer daily practices that allows you to come home to yourself and embody your vision and values. Some retreats include yoga. Others incorporate nature-based arts, which encourage play, creative expression, and ecological care.

Group Size
We generally plan for groups that are small enough for intimate connection and large enough so you can opt out of activities without affecting the group dynamic.

Collective Care
We recognize that well-being goes beyond self care and that our actions impact the well-being of others. We embrace our interdependence and seek to repair the felt sense of separation. We foster a culture of consent, inclusion, and collective responsibility.

Our Commitment to Social & Environmental Responsibility

We value human dignity and prioritize the safety and well-being of marginalized communities. We welcome and affirm all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, abilities, age, and other identities.

Our partners are the heart of our retreats and we love facilitating connections. We recognize our partners as experts on their stories & tradition, and we honor how they choose to share their culture, grow their businesses, and impact their communities.

We curate programs that foster engagement with land, people, and reality rather than an escape. We do our best to ensure you feel at home in a calm, spacious environment, but our aim is to expand perspectives, not provide a blissful bubble.

We use an extensive vetting process for values-aligned venues and guides that prioritize the health of local ecosystems & communities. We partner with people who aim to regenerate not extract from the environment.

“The location, activities, and schedule made this Portugal retreat an introvert’s paradise! The itinerary offered the perfect balance of time to connect and time to recharge. The retreat centre was beautiful and serene, and the staff were kind and accommodating. To top it off, Melissa’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness made it an invaluable experience.”

Q&A

How many participants travel alone?

Sometimes we have a couple or pair of friends, but most participants don’t know anyone (but often leave with new friends!). We have many return participants, so some retreats may have people who know each other. But rest assured that the dynamic is never cliquey.

What is the typical age of participants?

We’ve had participants from age 18-78. The average age is about 45-50 and most retreats have a range from 30-70 years of age.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Financial accessibility is important to us. Prior to the pandemic, we began offering partial scholarships and plan to restart these once business returns to normal.

We’re continue to search for U.S. venues with reasonable rates and an appropriate set-up in order to increase both financial and physical accessibility. Unfortunately, we have not found a good match yet.

Payment plans are always available at no extra charge.
